After 18:00 and at weekends, when the surgery is closed, your call will be automatically forwarded to the Staffordshire Doctors Out-of-Hours Service.
There is also the 111 telephone number that you can use.
They will discuss your problem with you, and decide how best to deal with it, by giving you advice, asking you to attend the out of hours service at Queens Hospital or by sending an ambulance or doctor.
The Out-of-Hours centre at Queens Hospital is only for emergencies, and should not be used for routine matters.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
