The NHS provides free health care for most people.
It is important to understand that GPs are self employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.
Please expect a fee for non NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform of any charges before carrying out non NHS work.
We also offer private medicals which may be needed by any agency such as your employer or for overseas visa applications. Please contact the Practice Manager for further details.
Travel Health
Do you need vaccinations?
Our Nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.

We offer a full travel advice and immunisation service. If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 6-8 weeks) before your journey.

Well Man Clinic
Like the well woman clinic, this is designed to maintain good health. A general check will include blood pressure, weight and height, advice on diet, smoking, drinking and any immunisation update required.
Practice Nurse Clinics
The following clinics are available, by prior appointment, except where indicated.
Monday: Midwife Antenatal booking only clinic. The doctors and midwives provide a full range of maternity services and work closely with the hospital. Initially, you will see one of the midwives at the booking clinic and then both doctor and midwife regularly through the pregnancy. Your post natal care forms in important part of this service.
Extended Access
Following a National Government initiative from 1st September 2018 extra appointments will be offered across the whole of East Staffordshire, including evening and weekend appointments. Additionally a new on line digital service will be available on Sunday mornings where appointments will be offered with a GP via the Q Doctor App. Posters will be available in the surgery shortly; please click on this link for further details https://www.qdoctor.io/

Family Planning
Family planning is available to all and is free. Advice can be obtained by making an appointment with the doctor of your choice at the surgery. Emergency contraceptive advice can be given in complete confidentiality but please inform the receptionist so that the earliest possible appointment can be given.
Health Promotion
Our Practice nurse and HCA are trained to advise on a wide range of health promotion issues for example, healthy eating, exercise, alcohol, drug abuse, weight management and cardiovascular checks. We encourage our patients to participate in regular three yearly health checks.
